Viktoria Loginova

About me.

I came to therapy through curiosity - first about myself, and then about people.

More than six years ago, that curiosity became my professional path.

My path into therapeutic work was not a conventional one. Before becoming a therapist, I built a career in other fields and completed both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. But my own experience of therapy introduced me to something I found far more fascinating - the way understanding ourselves can change not only how we feel, but the choices we make and the direction our lives take.

Understanding the whole person

What keeps me interested.

My journey began with hypnotherapy and the exploration of psychosomatic experiences - particularly the relationship between what we think, what we feel and what we experience in the body.

Since then, years of therapeutic work, counselling training and continued professional development have broadened the way I work considerably.

And perhaps the more I learn, the less interested I become in finding one explanation that fits everyone.

People are simply more complex than that.

This is why I work integratively today. I draw on different therapeutic approaches, but I remain interested in the person before the technique - what something means to you, why a particular pattern may exist and what might be happening underneath what you initially bring into the room.

Beyond the professional title

Stay curious.
Never assume.

I know what it is like to experience significant change, to start again and to question what comes next. I also know therapy from both sides of the room.

Those experiences have shaped me, but I don't believe that experiencing something myself means I know what it means for you.

That principle probably describes me both personally and professionally. I remain fascinated by people - by why we become who we become, how our experiences shape us and how much can change when we begin to understand ourselves differently.

Writing & speaking

Beyond the therapy room.

My interest in therapeutic work also extends into writing and professional education. I am the author of two books on hypnotherapy:

  • Echoes of the Mind: Top Ten Hypnotherapy Scripts for Change
  • Mastering Hypnotherapy Scripts: A Step-by-Step Guide

I have also spoken at two international conferences, sharing my work with fellow professionals in the helping professions.

Learning & development

Professional background.

Therapeutic training

I have completed Levels 3, 4 and 5 in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

Earlier academic background

My earlier academic background includes a BA (Hons) in Business Enterprise and an MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.

Alongside my core qualifications, I continue to undertake professional development and additional therapeutic training as part of my ongoing practice.

Knowing you

Perhaps the most important qualification is curiosity.

Training gives us knowledge and frameworks. Experience gives us perspective. But neither tells me what it is like to be you.

That is something we discover together.
