Sometimes you are not looking for open-ended therapy. You may already know what has happened, what you are struggling with, or what you want to understand.
Focused Support gives us a clear starting point and space to concentrate on what feels most important to you right now. Rather than trying to explore everything at once, we focus our work around a particular situation, experience, pattern or therapeutic goal.
A place to begin
This may
suit you if…
- Something recent has happened and you need space to process it
- You are facing a difficult decision or life transition
- One fear, reaction or recurring pattern is getting in the way
- You feel emotionally overwhelmed and want to make sense of what is happening
- You want to explore a stress-related or psychosomatic experience
- You already have a clear therapeutic goal or something specific you would like to understand

Working together
What can focused work look like?
A focused session does not mean following a fixed technique or trying to find a “quick fix”. We still work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on you and what emerges during the session.
We may explore thoughts and emotions, notice recurring patterns, become curious about physical responses, work with imagery or metaphor, or use hypnotherapeutic techniques where appropriate.
The difference is simply that we begin with a clearer focus.
At your pace

50-minute sessions
Online or in person
A flexible starting point.
Focused work can create clarity, new understanding and movement, but therapy is individual and I do not promise that a complex difficulty will be resolved within a particular number of sessions.
If, as we work together, we feel that more time would be helpful, we can discuss this together. Equally, there is no expectation to continue simply because you have started.
A space for you

You don’t have to decide today
Let’s start with
a conversation.
You don’t need to decide before we meet. We can talk about what is bringing you to therapy and decide together where it makes sense to start.
