You can know rationally that something is safe and still feel your body react as though it isn't.
That gap between “I know” and “I feel” is one reason simply telling yourself not to be afraid often changes very little.
Working together
We don't have to argue with the fear.
Instead, we can become curious about the response itself - what triggers it, what happens in your thoughts and body, what you do to avoid it and what may be reinforcing the cycle.
Depending on you and the nature of the fear, I may integrate counselling approaches with imagery, visualisation, CBT-informed work or hypnotherapeutic techniques.
We work with the person experiencing the fear, not simply the name of the phobia.
The aim is to help you develop a different relationship with the response and greater freedom in situations that currently feel restricted by it.
A space for you

A place to begin
Let’s start with a conversation.
You don’t need to know exactly where to start. We can talk about what is bringing you to therapy and see whether working together feels right.
