Never give advice
Any advice is based on the experience of the person giving the advice – it is unlikely to be applicable to the life of another
Just know that a person makes decisions and actions out of their own inner readiness
There is no task of pulling him in
See the client as healthy and strong
This creates a field in which you can see new ways of doing things differently
Believe in the person who has come to you
The task of letting the person go and believing that they are self-sufficient to cope with their life on their own is an important step in counselling relationship
Show interest
This step has to come first, because this is the only way to achieve satisfactory results and trustworthy communication.
